I read a lot and with that you get some good, bad and ugly. Valentines may have been elevated to commercial status, but the last time I checked the POST OFFICE and all the banks are still open. So Valentines haters step aside or just go away. You don’t have to buy a rose or even a card. It’s time for you to FIND a way to show you love them today and EVERYDAY. Take a page from my playbook. Check out what my daughter got for breakfast this morning. I’ll clue you in…….It’s the same thing she gets most mornings…..Eggos(with chocolate chips), banana slices a slice of bacon, small cup of apple juice and a large milkshake glass of carnation breakfast. Made every day with love….but today this is how the Eggos and the bananas looked……………
I cut her bacon into what was suppose to look like a rose. You wouldn’t know it if you looked at it, but my little girl knew right away that dad was giving her a bacon rose and that sounds like something straight from Last Man Standing.
HAPPY VALENTINES TO YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES!!!!!!!
Embrace the moment, don’t get caught up in the hustle and bustle, if you blink the moment will be over….but not for you because your goal is like mine…your goal is to……………………….
I think I read in Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven Covey that we should all take the time to write our on eulogy. This practice is designed to help us establish how we want people to remember us. I think this is a good practice, but today’s blog is not a eulogy, it’s a different type of birth announcement.
Today, I Scott Culberson have lived on this Earth for Forty Two years. Don’t pity me or feel sorry for me that I have reached this mile stone. Next year I hope to reach the next and the next year the next and so on and so on. I choose to live for the present, respecting the past and looking forward to the future….which has now become the present. Time marches on so I choose to LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST every second of every day. Join me in taking the time to say THANK YOU, I LOVE YOU or GOOD JOB. Ok so I had a birthday, big deal……yes it is a big deal…..TO ME and my creator. He put me here for more than one reason; to be a son to my parents, to be a brother to my sister, to be a husband to my wife and a father to my children and I believe he has placed me in your path to offer support to you on your journey of life. I LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST by supporting my family, by volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, by supporting my friends, my co-workers, and my clients.
Today I am NOT planting a seed.
Today I will take the time to water the tree that is already grown.
Tomorrow I will water that same tree again.
That tree is already here and it deserves to continue to provide shade and shelter for many years to come.
If the tree becomes sick I will nurse it back to health.
If the tree needs pruning I will do it with care.
This tree will be my tree and it will grow stronger than years past.
My purpose for this Happy New Year the Year of Forty Two is that I am able to help you to LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST. With a smile and a positive word of encouragement. I choose this to be a year to engage and enable those I meet through continue correspondence; both in person, and via note cards, phone, text, facebook, etc. I have faith in the Lord that he will provide another year of opportunities to serve others, thus fulfilling my purpose and bringing me continued happiness in life and in work.
Thank you for being apart of my Forty Second Year I hope we can visit in person some day soon. Personal or Professional I am here for you. I am a REALTOR by profession so allow me to help you, your friend and family to……..
Ainsworth Meats moved to the Magnolia area in 1997. Old fashioned customer service, education, advice and quality meats. “We guarantee everything we sell” says owner Raymond Skelton. They can do that because they process 95% of the meat they sell on site. Counter items are available based on what the average customer’s orders, but they maintain an inventory that can be cut to the customer’s special request. They have a wide range of meat choices: beef, pork, chicken, market made sausage (on site), small selection of seafood, wild game meats include—deer, elk and buffalo. They wrap the meat for you based if you’re going to eat it today or put it in the freezer for next week. Many ready to cook items are available: pre-marinated steaks, stuffed pork chops, chicken Diablo’s, just to name a few. They also have a small selection of grocery items to finish out the meal; potatoes, spaghetti sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, drinks and more. Wild game processing is available.
Fifty-Two linear feet of meat counter for fresh cut meats. They have three, four door freezers. A 20×10 walk in freezer and a 10×7 walk in freezer in addition to a 8x8x20 freezer. With all that freezer space they are bound to have what you’re looking for.
Ainsworth sells gift certificates. WOW, what a great gift. Speaking of great gifts, Valentines Day is coming up and it has been a growing holiday for the sale of meat. Think about it, it’s a perfect time for the men to step it up and flex those cooking muscles and show their lady they love them. A romantic dinner at home with her favorite cut of meat.
Don’t know what cut of meat to choose? No problem, one of the best things about visiting Ainsworth is that they will educate you on the type of meat and how best to cook it. Education was the inspiration for this blog. A couple of weeks ago I made a trip to my local meat market (Ainsworth Meats). I was on a serious mission, to find the right meat to cook a chicken fried steak. Unfortunately it had been at least five years since I had attempted this feat. They not only helped me with the right meat, but gave me tips on creating what ended up being the perfect batter. It is delicious.
Good meat, excellent customer service, education and advice….Ainsworth Meats the local meat market in Magnolia, Texas. Located a half mile South of Farmers Market 1488 on the West side of Farmers Market 2978. Check them out, you’ll be glad I sent you.
This REALTORS Perspective:
There is nothing like a cook out to bring the neighborhood together. If your Home Owners Association is planning a National Night Out get involved, sign up to participate. If they are not participating in National Night Out, get it started in your subdivision. Good neighbors make good communities and good communities have higher resale value. This is a great way to get out and meet your neighbors, who knows you might have more than just the neighborhood in common. The National Night Out idea is simple, know your neighbors and help keep your community safe. Host a cook out and invite the neighbors or call me and I’ll host one for you. No joke I would love the opportunity to host your next neighborhood get together. No worries, no pressure, just me trying to help you and your neighbors to…………..
